Nursing Home Week Celebration
Cedar Wood Villa celebrated National Nursing Home Week with special meals and activities for the residents and the staff the week of May 9-15. We began the week with a special meal on Mother's day with Prime Rib. Each Dept. Supervisor was in charge of a meal and activities for each day that week. Monday we had Hawaiian Day with a luau theme. Tuesday was Mexican day, Wednesday was Flower Power Day-the residenst planted flower seeds in small pots that will be transplanted outside when weather permits. Thursday was game day and Friday was BBQ day. We had trivia questions each day that staff could answer and win a free meal ticket. Each daily winners were entered into a drawing for a gas card or a subway card. It was a fun filled week that everyone enjoyed. We took lots of pictures.
